Puerto Banús
Is a luxury marina located in the area called Nueva Andalucéa, to the west of Marbella. Since its opening in May 1970, the area has become the most important leisure resort on the Costa del Sol. Built in the style of a Mediterranean village, the famous Puerto Banús marina has mooring capacity for nearly one thousand boats from 8 to 50 metres in length.
Its exceptional location and its famous visitors, such as Grace Kelly, Prince Albert of Monaco, Julio Iglesias, Camilo José Cela, Lola Flores, Antonio Banderas, and David and Victoria Beckham, have made it a popular summer destination, especially at night, thanks to the discotheques, pubs and bars. As a leisure resort it is open 365 days a year and has a great choice of leisure options: restaurants such as Antonio (fish), Cipriano (Mediterranean cuisine), La Taberna del Pintxo (tapas), Trader Vics (Thai), Vasari (designer cuisine).; discotheques such as La Habana de Hemingway, Dreamers, Seven.; spas and gymnasiums such as Vasari (10 minutes on foot from the hotel), Spa Spejos (20 minutes on foot from the hotel), Platinum (10 minutes on foot from the hotel) or beach clubs such as Ocean Club, as well as many more places.
The Beach at Puerto Banús
Is one of the most glamorous beaches in Marbella and one of the most popular on the Costa del Sol. There are two beaches, one to the east and one to the west, both more than 150 metres long, where there are also great facilities for water and leisure sports. It also provides many services such as sunbeds, restaurants, pedal boats and jet ski hire, and a great choice of more than 350 shops covering all the needs of sailors and visitors.
